Jennifer is a Pittsburgh native and Penn State University alum who picked up and moved to the Big City - New York! - at the age of 22 to start her career in the publishing industry. With a B.A. in Comparative Literature and a no-nonsense yet empathetic nature, the discipline of Contracts and Business Affairs proved to be a natural fit: being firm yet fair, meticulous yet big-picture, is essential for success in this arena. As a natural mentor with a keen eye for crafting policy and procedure, she rose in ten years from Contracts Assistant at The Berkley Publishing Group to Contracts Director for G.P. Putnam’s Sons, Penguin Press, and Riverhead (all under the Penguin umbrella), then served in that role for ten more, including through several years of the merger with Random House. Now, she brings her 25+ years of experience and insider expertise to bear on each and every contract which she handles for her clients as an elite, industry-savvy consultant in the space. At home, she is a proud mother to creative and talented Autumn, a Denison University graduate who went on to spend several years at Christie’s then earn a Master’s Degree from Edinburgh University, and now serves as the Assistant Director of Development at the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati. Jennifer resides in Jersey City and is fond of organic coffee, sparkling celebrations, and escaping into nature.
